It was advised that we not use Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, so I chose my other favorites, but of course, I’d recommend HP and PJ.
Spiderwick is an amazing series and it was the gateway series into my love for reading. They introduced me to the worlds of fantasy, and I have not returned since.
Guardian’s of Ga’Hoole will always hold a special place in my heart, it’s 15 books long, and my favorite animal is an owl partly because of this series.
The Princess Academy was a stand alone when I read it. It was years after when the sequel came out, and I had grown up and lost some of the wonder I held for the first book. I still love the original story though.
The Unwanteds was a series I didn’t finish. I moved on to young adult and forgot so much of the story that I laid it to rest on my TBR list. The concept rings so true for me and I hope people are reading these books.
When You Reach Me is the only stand alone on my list. I wanted to add it because I remember it blowing my mind when I read it. I’ve even considered rereading it. I remember my elementary school teacher book-talking it and I was sold.
