Sky in the Deep Review

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

3/5 Stars

Have you seen the show Vikings? Do you like Romeo and Juliet? Then this book is for you! It was an enjoyable read for fall break. I always love feuds, battles, family, and a bit of love. This book has all of this.

I’ve never read a viking-based book, so it was a fresh read for me. I will definitely look out for more books by Young.

You all know how much I love strong female leads, and Eelyn was a realistically strong and emotional girl. I felt that I could really relate to her as a person, which is always great in a book.

I didn’t feel like all the characters had enough personality at times, and the romantic development was a bit rushed to me, and I didn’t really notice it building. It didn’t necessarily take away from me enjoying the book, but I really wanted to see the development of the feelings between the two characters. That’s my favorite part of romance.

Even with saying that, I would recommend giving this book a try because it’s a fresh world that I personally haven’t seen done yet.

Have you read this book? What did you think of it?
