Your girl needed some paranormal romance that would go down real easy. This book did not disappoint. I have read all the Luxen books already, so I already love the idea of these aliens, and I was so ready to jump back into some angsty and hot alien romance. I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I thought the book was actually gonna be pretty straightforward, but the plot took a huge unexpected turn that had me on the edge of my seat. Armentrout sure knows how to draw me in with some angst and then hit me with some killer plot twists.
There were hot alien boys. There were appearances of beloved characters. There was action. Mind reading. Homework. Loving mothers. Ass kicking. Powerful protagonists. And yeah the beforementioned romance.
If you haven’t already read the Luxen series, and you love some paranormal romance, I highly recommend getting started. They are a welcome new flavor amongst the many tragic fantasy books I read. They have good and unexpected plots and some HOT romance. These are some great summer reads, especially if you’re gonna be sitting by some water.
